Ramon is an accomplished and versatile business leader with over three decades of experience across multiple sectors covering large FTSE 100 , SMEs and start ups. 

Born to an Indian father and English mother, Ramon began his career in retail in the Northwest of England in the mid-1980s, starting as a trolley collector at Safeway Foodstores .His dedication to customer service and people development led him to become a Store Manager at just 23. Over the next decade, Ramon progressed to through large Superstores and field leadership roles before joining Iceland Foods in 1997.  

Here he played a pivotal role in setting up the Central Operations function, leading the acquisition of a food service business, and managing the electrical appliance division. His tenure culminated in his appointment as Store Development Director , sitting on the Trading Board . 

In 2005, Ramon joined Boots during a transformative period, navigating through a merger, privatisation, and its eventual sale to the US-based Walgreens Pharmacy chain. As a key member of the board, alongside the current  CEOs of Sainsbury’s and Tesco, Ramon held responsibility for various functions, including retail operations, IT, supply chain, store development, business risk and compliance, HR for central functions, and business planning and projects. 

In 2012, Ramon transitioned out of the corporate world to pursue a more balanced lifestyle and embarked on a series of entrepreneurial ventures. He founded a frozen food brand, built a sizeable property portfolio, and became a co-owner of businesses in air freight logistics, accountancy, recruitment, and training businesses.  

He serves as a non-executive director and advisor to companies across diverse sectors, including financial services, telecoms, digital marketing, executive coaching and Property 

Ramon’s real strengths lie in his pragmatic, results-oriented approach, with a clear focus on customer and colleague relationships, commercial acumen, and the ability to simplify complex challenges. With his rich background, he takes immense pleasure in mentoring and coaching aspiring business leaders, drawing from both his professional achievements and personal life experiences.
